Snorkeling in the Caribbean from Admin's blog

Almost anyone can put on a diving mask and breathe through a snorkel; add a pair of fins and you really don’t have to do much more than float around the surface and check out the marine life below. It’s so easy, even small children can do it. Snorkeling is the easiest and cheapest way to get up close and personal with the underwater wonders of the Caribbean.

You may be surprised at how much you can see while snorkeling, even right from the beach at your Caribbean resort.

Most resorts will provide you with free snorkeling gear, making snorkeling the cheapest and easiest way to explore the underwater world.

You can also join a dive charter, where a boat will take you to the best snorkeling and diving spots around the island you’re visiting. Charters often offer unique sights like shipwrecks and healthier reefs than you'll typically find around resort areas, meaning more colorful coral and fish populations, as well as sharks and other larger creatures of the deep. Dive boat staff are also on hand to ensure your safety, and of course, beer and lunch are usually served along with the scenic boat ride.
